From late 2019 to now, Australia has been facing the devastation of which this year’s fire season has brought. Millions of acres have been destroyed, homes, lives have been lost and approximately half a billion animals have been killed in New South Wales alone.

After seeing and experiencing the devastating effects of this fire season, DPM has decided to do their best and raise funds for the much needed communities impacted by the bushfires. On 23 January 2020, DPM hosted a charity auction and matched money raised through the auction dollar for dollar.

100% of profits raised have been donated to The Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal, which in partnership with The Salvation Army, ensures 100% of donated funds go directly to the communities in need.

100% of all donations are directed to communities in need.

DPM’s charity auction raised a total of $13,692 by auctioning off:

  • A day playing golf with one of DPM’s Directors
  • Free onsite car park for one month
  • Homemade pancake breakfast cooked by one of DPM’s General Managers
  • 5 course homemade dinner with paired wines cooked and served by one of DPM’s Directors
  • Twilight sailing on Port Phillip Bay
  • Team morning tea prepared by a DPM employee who happens to be an award winning baker
  • Mystery boxes
  • Personal training sessions
  • Farm stay for one night, including breakfast, at one of DPM employee’s farm
  • Legal services

DPM would like to thank all employees for being involved in DPM’s first charity auction. A big shoutout to all the employees for donating their time and many personal items.

Australia is still facing an unprecedented national crisis, as bushfires tear through rural communities across the nation. Everyone can still help, by spreading the word, donating, volunteering and sharing social media posts to help raise awareness and funds.
